How are you?
I am great.
The first obvious question is where did your name come from?
It was a fake band my friends and I started in high school. There were these neon palm tree lights at a restaurant my friends and I would hang out at.
How did the band form?
Chris our guitar player, and myself met in southern California, and started writing songs together. He moved to Utah for school, I followed to distract him. We met the others throughout the music scene and formed this band.
Your second album « Picture Show » is out, how would you describe your music to someone that hasn’t heard it?
We are a post punk soul pop rock n roll band. Dig it.
Tell us three things should everyone know about Neon Trees?
We put on a show, we are quite nice and funny, and we don’t subscribe to the rock n roll lifestyle traditionally, we make our own rules.
What do you hope people take away from your music?
Stay true to the dreams of your youth, live your life as YOU. SING!
Digital days indeed : so what is on your iPod ?
Twin Shadow, Kanye West, Robyn. My favorites lately.
Well that’s all my questions, thanks. Any closing words for TEEZ’FM listeners?
Thank you for listening!
Thanks to Jazmine & Neon Trees
