We haven’t seen you since 2009. What have you been up to since then?
I’ve been working on my new album, travelling and getting inspired for the next….

You moved to paris at 18. What did you expect to find there ?
A different lifestyle, and to make new discoveries!

Does living in Paris heavily influence your writing?
I think anywhere where you can isolate yourself a little helps to get in the right mind frame … But I write everywhere , not necessarily Paris

We’ll be able to hear your new album in a few weeks time. Can you tell us a bit more about it?
It’s a mix of old school and new school, electronic vs acoustic… It’s a different direction from my previous works but I think I managed to keep within my style too

Can you tell the story behind the title of your album Daddy I Don’t Want To Get Married. Are you scared of marriage ?
Ha ha! Maybe I am…

It started with a Chorus from one of my songs, and it kept in my head so I thought why not the title … Considering the songs are mainly about love stories

How did the recording of this album go? From what I have read in the papers, your album sounds very 80’s and 90’s like, where are your influences from?
It was a pretty long process , I had started recording the tracks alone before I started working with para and David, and then, petit à petit everyone added their personal touch , david helping with the music, Para with his beats and electonic arrabgemrnts, then the musicians who recorded the live instruments at la frette studio, then we finished it off all together in paras studio.
Musically speaking, I would have to say that I am pretty heavily influenced by music from the 70s, 80s and 90s… Style wise , I love disco, Motown and old school hip hop and the beginning of electronic music

Do you have a personal favourite track?
My favourite I guess So Scared (Confidential)

When you think of all of the greatest pop songs of all time – by anybody – which one do you wish you had written?
Cosmic Girl by Jamiroquai

How have you met Tahiti Boy and Para One ? Did you know their music?1371826624
I met David in and around town, in the music one… And he and my label introduced me to Para , and we all went from there !

Will anybody ever say “my favourite singer of all time is Micky Green”?
Hopefully maybe!

Whenever one talks about Australia, one talks about Kylie. Is she an artist that had some influence on your musical career? Actually, are your records released there?
I’m not so much musically inspired, but I love the idea of her, She’s a great pop icon…. its just more that I loved dancing to her music when I was a teenager
My first album was released there but I’m nowhere near her level!

If you hadn’t become a popstar the traditional way, would you have auditioned on The Voice?
No … It’s important for me that I write my own songs and music . I see myself more as a singer/songwriter than a popstar…

What can we find in your pocket/bag right now ?
Lots of random but essential things , my nickname is Mary Poppins!

To finish, a song that may be on your mind right now.
I’m obsessed with lose yourself to dance Daft punk
